Today Molini del Ponte company is the showcase of the extraordinary co-existence of ancient and modern, because into the same building next to the modern new generation and computer software based cilinder implant take place the ancient natural stones stonemills, from the end of ‘800.
The story of Drago family mixs together with the same story of Castelvetrano, they have been already four generations who work with unchanged passion of the activity of milling of wheat and production of flour and semolina. The projects has been interrupted due to the earthquake of 1968 and then it has been retaken with unchanged enthusiasm in 1970 with the inauguration of a cilinder mill for the production of semolina and flour, whereas to preserve the tradition two stonesmills have been introducted.
Today only soft and durum wheat cultivated into Sicily region are given to the mill.
