Honey which isn’t made from the flowers nectar but from the honeydew of the trees!
Aphids and other insect suck the leaves’ lymph of the plants engraving the leaves and their stalks, from which it is spread a very sugary liquid with a low proteic amount.
To obtain the protein that are needed to grow, these insects have to digest big quantities of liquid and sweat the sugary liquid in excess.
Ants and bees collect it and elaborate it, and it’s because of their work that this liquid is trasformed in honey of honeydew.
The honey has a dark color, a little traslucide and a less sweet taste. Liquid consistency. The smell is intense, often with relevant notes of resin, whereas the taste can slightly remind the caramel.
Properties
Antibiotic properties, it’s rich in iron and it’s an excellent natural boost of mineral and oligomineral salts, moreover it helps in streighten the capillars and the memory.
In the place of ordinary supplements of mineral salts it is possible to take one or two spoons of honeydew honey melt in half of a liter of water with half of a lemon.
To appreciate the propertis of digestive tonic it’s enough to taste the honeydew with a natural yogurth, or above a slice of toasted bread, in drinks or with a mug of cereals or muesli in the morning.
Hence, a very super-food for everybody which can be consumed daily.
